the popular tourist area of redwood shores , California . gensler became involved with the project for reorganizing the area and converting it into the centrum business park .

today , 11 years later , the final phase of the project is being brought to a conclusion . whith six office buildings , coverin a total area of 1.6 million m2 (17.2 million ft ) , a conference and press center gymnasium , and four parking lots , the site has recently been converted into the headquarters of the oracle corporation , a leading software producer . the firs building to be developed on the campus was the " access"structure , which now accommodates the oracle executive offices. Architectutally speaking , the design is based on simple geometrical forms: a rectangular block supported by two cylinders , projecting an image which is both striking and strong . this building faces the lake with wich it interacts by way of its blue-green glass panels
