API 1115:2012: Recommended Practice on the Operation of Solution-Mined Underground Storage Facilities
This article examines the feasibility of outsourcing in the public sector of Iran. The main findings of the study suggest that there is less motivation for adoption of outsourcing policy among managers in the public sector. The findings also provide an insight into how outsourcing practices, are managed in the context of a developing nation. This exploratory empirical investigation into outsourcing provides tentative avenues for increasing the probability of success of outsourcing projects and raises many issues for further study of the outsourcing phenomenon. The conclusions are based on an analysis of data gathered from 325 managers and experts in the Iranian Public sector. The results showed that the main strategies for successful implementation of outsourcing are: 1) direction; 2) motivation; 3) legislation; 4) operation: and 5) competency.
