بررسی سیر تاریخی زبان و ادبیات عرب در ایران از دوره صفویه تا قاجاریه که در آن با توجه به بازه زمانی بین سالهای 910هـ..ق الی 1210هـ..ق و با توجه به فارسی زبان بودن ایرانیان و و شاید حس کنجکاوی در مورد چگونگی و ضعیف ادبیات عرب در ایران در دوره اوج گیری شیعه و تقابل به وجود آمده با تسنن و چگونگی تسری و داخل شدن ادبیات عرب در ایران آن زمان ما را برآن واداشت تا این بررسی و سیر تحولی ادبیات عرب در این دوره را بررسی کنیم و آشنایی بیشتر با این سیر تحولاتی را بیان نماییم.
به طور اجمال می توان هدف از تحقیق فوق را در چند مسئله بیان نمود به طوری که نه تنها اطلاعاتی از زبان ادبیات عرب بر ما آشکار سازد بلکه بتوان اطلاعاتی در زمینه ادبیات عرب در این دوره و شناختن بازه زمانی آن و همچنین تحولات این دوره را برای ما نمایان سازد که به اجمال به بیان اهداف مورد نظر به صورت فهرست وار می پردازیم.
1- تاریخ ادبیات عرب از گذشته تا دوره فوق .2- واژه های مورد نیاز در ادبیات عرب.3- بررسی دوران صفویه و افشاریه و زندیه شامل سلاطین و وضعیت دوران فوق.4- علما و دانشمندان و نویسندگان و آثار علمی آنها که به نگارش در آمده و اطلاعات آن را در دسترس ما می باشد.
5- نمونه ای از ادبیات شعری در این دوره.6- تحلیل ادبی تعدادی از ابیات از نظر فنون شعری از دیدگاه غزل ،قصیده ، ملمع و...
